The Programme

Taking place across two days – 8–9 July 2025—this years’ Experience on Main Street Conference promises a vibrant and thought-provoking programme designed to inspire, inform, and connect. From deep-dive regional spotlights to visionary talks and hands-on experiences, attendees can look forward to exclusive tours of standout Manchester developments, a private walkthrough of this summer’s citywide art trail, and a full day of conference sessions at Arcade Arena, where industry leaders will explore the trends, strategies, and innovations redefining place and placemaking.

Sessions will shine a spotlight on key UK regions – including Manchester, Liverpool, and Newcastle – with insights from developers, city councils, and creative leaders behind some of the country’s most ambitious projects, such as Aviva Studios, Mayfield, Trafford Centre, Liverpool ONE, and more.
 
Expect bold conversations on the 2030 Visitor Economy Strategy, what investors want, the power of sports as placemaking anchors, and how creativity is driving the next generation of destinations. Topics like sustainability, wellbeing, international outlooks, and the reinvention of the ground floor and high streets will take centre stage.
And beyond the talks? Engaging networking events will give you ample opportunity to build relationships and spark collaboration with the people shaping the future of place.

Day 1 – 8th July

  • 9:30am – 4:30pm – A tour of key developments taking place in the Manchester region (to be announced). Please note, we have limited spaces and a separate ticket is required. The ticket price includes: travel, lunch/refreshments and a least three tours/presentations.
  • 6:30pm – Private tour and presentation of the ‘Music for the Senses Art Trail’ (included in the main conference ticket). Embark on a vibrant, multi-sensory art trail that celebrates the people, places, moments, and instruments that have shaped Manchester’s legendary music scene. This city-wide experience features up to 50 beautifully painted real guitars, transforming the streets into a dynamic gallery of sound and colour. A stunning Large Guitar Street installation anchors the trail, while up to 15 street art installations- including five brand-new creations – bring iconic musical moments to life. Enhancing the journey, an interactive trail app and augmented reality (AR) experiences invite visitors to explore Manchester’s rich musical heritage in an engaging and unforgettable way.
  • 8:00pm – Round of the evening with complementary drinks and networking at a central Manchester venue (To be Announced)

Day 2 – 9th July

  • 8:00am – 5:00pm Join us at Arcade Arena for an action packed day of inspiring sessions from an array of speakers, all experts in the redefining of spaces and places using an experience led approach. Included in your ticket is access to the full conference programme on the main stage, an option to gain access to two exclusive roundtable sessions, our exhibition and networking with fellow delegates with complementary refreshments and lunch.
  • 6:00pm – Our post conference mixer events are legendary – look out for our announcement about the venue in the next few weeks. Your ticket price includes access, complementary bar and potentially something unique!
